Running from the end of May through August 2010, AfricAid will be hosting a Summer Challenge for Youth in Colorado, and across the United States.
Kisa Adventures: A Summer Challenge will empower young people and show that they can make a difference, raise awareness and funds for the Kisa Project and AfricAid, and help to empower young women in Tanzania.
The Summer Challenge asks youth to use their talents, summer activities, and any creative ideas to raise funds for the Kisa Project from June to August. Here are some examples of what you can do:
- Donate 10% of your babysitting money
- Have friends and family sponsor you and donate $1 for every hit you get during your baseball game
- Hold a garage sale (clean out all that clutter, raise money, AND spend time outside all at the same time!)
Prizes awarded at the end of summer during the Closing Celebration Event (date TBA).
