Digital Storytelling

As part of our new girls’ scholarship and leadership initiative, the Kisa Project, AfricAid uses digital storytelling in order to create meaningful and immediate communication between student and sponsor. In partnership with the Center for Digital Storytelling (CDS), AfricAid has led the young women participating in the Kisa Project through storytelling workshops so they can develop, write, and share their life stories in a rich and vivid video format.

At the 2009 Kisa Film Festival, on October 25th, attendees were given the opportunity to see what digital storytelling is all about through the 12 pieces created by Coloradans about their connections to Africa. We encourage you to take a look at these incredible stories!
