Gallop For Girls

Gallop for Girls

AfricAid invites you to join our 2016 Gallop for Girls team!

A passionate group of supporters are running (and walking!) in the Girls on the Run 5k race at Cherry Creek Reservoir in Denver, CO on May 21, 2016.*

The AfricAid team will race together with our Colorado She’s the First partners, including Project Education South Sudan, Sacred Valley Project, She’s the First-CSU, and Starfish Impact, in solidarity for adolescent girls worldwide. Africaid team participants will raise funds to support our Kisa Scholars in Tanzania.

*Even if you cannot run on the event day, you can still fundraise and earn donations based on training mileage or completing another race.

Great! click on the button below to visit our Frundraise page, then select the runner you want to support and pledge for their miles.  Each donation goes towards programs like AfricAid’s Kisa Project.

The Kisa Project mentors and motivates some of Tanzania’s most resilient young women to believe that they can ignite change in their communities. As in many parts of the world, young women in Tanzania are often not taught to believe they can achieve what their male counterparts can, and rarely have role models to show them otherwise. Kisa gives young women the skills they need to pursue excellence in leadership and the confidence to believe they are capable and worthwhile contributors to their world.
